PUSH! The Birthing of Your Destiny

As time continues to progress, I find myself in the midst of an ongoing press in the Spirit. I know what God has spoken concerning my life, and most certainly know He will bring every word to past. I can feel the embodiment of His promises impregnated within me, but I have to say the last two quarters of this year has found me in a spiritual push for my destiny.

In a previous newsletter I wrote about contending for your destiny and I tell you, for me personally, the fight has been on! Over the course of this time I have found myself, spiritually, emotionally, and physically weighted and weary, and at times overwhelmed with a spirit of hopelessness. Yet in the midst of all of this, hidden deep within me is a spirit of expectation. I know what I am describing may seem a bit strange and out of sorts, (maybe you can identify with what I'm saying. If not, I guarantee if you stay in this race called "Destiny" long enough, one day soon you will). I didn't quite understand what I was experiencing until Isaiah 66:7-9 was brought to my attention.

7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.

8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.

9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God.

It was initially verse 9 that caught my attention and the Spirit began to speak to me. I hope you find encouragement in what I received. This is what I heard:

"Take heart. He who has begun a good work in you will complete it. You are impregnated with destiny. You're in your last trimester. That which you have conceived in your spirit has and been nurtured and developed in your spiritual womb and you're at the point of delivery. Like a woman who has carried to full term you are uncomfortable and feel the pressure of the precious seed filling the womb of your spirit. This is why you have the weight and the weariness, but don't grow weary in doing well. Faint not. Overcome the spiritual attacks of the enemy, which come to oppress and discourage you. Gird up your mind, be vigilant, and recognize the strategy of the enemy to abort the promises of God with a spirit of hopelessness. Don't stop nurturing the precious seed within you. Prepare for the purpose. Push in the Spirit and travail to be delivered. The promise will be birthed through much travail."

Through this word I received my answer. Now I understand what I am experiencing and know what I am up against.

As I continued to meditate upon the passage of scripture I was captivated by verse 7.

7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.

How could the woman (who typifies us as believers) bring forth and deliver before she travailed and experienced pain? By revelation I heard a clarifying word. In the Spirit, all God has purposed for us to birth and bring forth for His glory has already been established in the eternal womb of His divine purpose. Once we open our hearts to conceive this divine seed we initiate the earthly development and in the appointed time the earthly manifestation in and through our lives.

In Isaiah 66:8 it said, "for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children". Do you realize God needs you? Isn't it fascinating that God, in all His infinite wisdom and sovereignty, needs a man or a woman to birth His will and purpose in the earth? Even the Son of God (Jesus) had to come through an earthy vessel (his mother Mary) in order to release God's divine plan of redemption in the earth. Are you willing to travail in birth until His will is released through your life? In order for God's divine purpose to be released, you and I have to push (travail) in the Spirit with fasting, prayer and intercession. Travailing also includes consistently engaging the enemy through spiritual warfare to ensure a healthy and timely delivery.

In closing, let's look at Isaiah 66:9 again, there we find key questions that were asked by the Father. I love how it reads in the Amplified Bible:

9 Shall I bring to the [moment of] birth and not cause to bring forth? says the Lord. Shall I Who causes to bring forth shut the womb? says your God.

The answers to these questions lie within you and me. The Spirit is saying will you come this far just to give up, throw in the towel and stop pushing? The Kingdom of God forbids! God's eternal purpose through your life hangs in the balance. What you're going through isn't only about you, but about God's will being birthed and manifested in and through you. It encompasses your ordained purpose and destiny being fulfilled in its appointed time. Are you willing to give all that up?

I want to encourage you. You've come to far. Don't abort and terminate the divine destiny getting ready to be birthed in your life. It could be a ministry, a business, a career, a book, a CD, an idea, a vision, souls, etc. Hold on, stand firm, and keep pushing because in the end you will reap the benefits of your labor and God will be glorified in the earth through your life. I'm determined to keep pushing. How about you?

Kingdom blessings.
